Save the Date: September 25 is National “Safety Saturday” at Lowe’s

The Home Safety Council and Lowe’s believe the best way to improve your home is to make it safer. To help keep the people you love safe from accidents in and around your home, they’ve created “Safety Saturday”. This one-stop resource has ideas and tips on important things you can do in one day or less to get rid of hidden dangers in your home.

Mark your calendar and plan to stop by your local Lowe’s on Saturday, September 25 to celebrate “Safety Saturday.” The Home Safety Council and Lowe’s are kicking off Fire Safety Month with special events at Lowe’s stores across the country.

At each event you’ll meet people from your community who are focused on safety. Representatives from organizations like fire departments and public safety organizations will provide home safety materials and information for your whole family. Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics will invite the local public safety officers to bring fire trucks or other emergency vehicles for your family to see in the store parking lot. If schedules allow, you’ll also be able to talk with local fire fighters who will have fire safety information and activities from the Home Safety Council.

Safety Saturday will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm in the parking lot of participating Lowe’s stores.

Booth At Butlerville Days

The Cottonwood Heights Neighborhood Watch will be available to answer questions at the Butlerville Days Celebration at Butler Park from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, July 24th. The booth will have members of the Cottonwood Heights NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH available to answer questions about home and neighborhood safety. They will also be answering questions about the different positions available in the Neighborhood Watch program. Without Cottonwood Heights residents actively volunteering their time, there would be no Cottonwood Heights Neighborhood Watch. See you there!
